About Us

Welcome to
Rolling Hills Corgis

Somewhere between quiet hills and open skies lies a small piece of heaven where joy has four legs, a fluffy backside, and the most endearing personality you've ever met. That little haven is Rolling Hills Corgis, a place not built out of ambition, but out of love genuine, lasting, bone-deep love for one of the most charming breeds in the world: the Pembroke Welsh Corgi. This isn't just a breeding program. This is our family, our passion, our lifestyle, and our mission. And every wagging tail that leaves our home leaves with a piece of our hearts tucked into their go-home blanket.

Our journey with Corgis began the way most love stories do: unexpectedly and all at once. We were a young couple at the time, recently moved into the countryside, dreaming of a slower life with space to grow and a home filled with warmth and laughter. One day, we met a little Corgi named Benny through a friend. He was stubby-legged, bright-eyed, stubborn, sweet, and full of charisma. We laughed so hard at the way his little legs carried such a big personality, and it didn't take long for him to win us over completely. That one dog changed our entire path. Benny became our shadow, our hiking buddy, our movie night companion, and our daily comic relief. But more than that, he sparked something in us—a calling we didn't even know existed.
We began researching, reading, learning, and immersing ourselves in everything Corgi-related. The more we learned, the more we realized that raising dogs the right way required heart, responsibility, and ethics. We saw how many breeders cut corners, how many puppies were raised in cages or without love, and how some families were being misled or sent home with sick, scared, or poorly socialized pups. We knew we could do better. We knew we had to do better.
So we took our time. We connected with mentors, veterinarians, geneticists, and experienced breeders who shared our values. We educated ourselves on canine behavior, puppy development, early neurological stimulation, socialization methods, and ethical breeding practices. We started with a single pair, our beloved Benny and our sweet girl Rosie, and we raised our first litter inside our own home, right in our living room. Every single puppy was handled daily, kissed often, and raised like one of our own children. We stayed up through the nights with them, bottle-fed when needed, sang to them, and cried when it was time to let them go. That litter taught us everything. It taught us that when you raise puppies with love, they don’t just go to homes—they go to hearts.
Over the years, our home and our hearts have grown. Today, Rolling Hills Corgis is still run right here on our land, among the hills and trees, in the comfort of a real family home. We still wake up early for feedings, we still scoop up sleepy pups in our arms, and we still cry when they go. But now, we have a structured program backed by experience, science, and a community of families who are now a part of our journey.
We believe in raising dogs the way we wish every dog was raised: with hands that are gentle, hearts that are open, and a home that feels safe. Our Corgis aren't kennel dogs—they're part of our family. They romp around the kitchen while we cook, nap in sunbeams on the porch, and chase each other through the yard with pure joy. Our puppies are born in a whelping area just steps from our bedroom, where we can hear every squeak and snuggle every hour. From day one, they are touched, spoken to, and loved. They grow up hearing vacuums, children, laughter, music, and the rhythm of real family life. We begin early neurological stimulation and confidence-building exercises in the first days of life, helping to shape puppies that are emotionally stable, curious, and trusting. As they grow, we introduce them to different textures, sounds, environments, and experiences. By the time they leave us, they are not just adorable—they are prepared. Prepared to adjust, prepared to connect, and prepared to love.
We don’t breed often. Every pairing is thoughtfully planned with health, temperament, and genetic compatibility as our guide. All of our parent dogs are health tested through reputable laboratories. We run full DNA panels to screen for breed-specific issues like DM (Degenerative Myelopathy), vWD (von Willebrand's Disease), and EIC (Exercise Induced Collapse), among others. We also perform OFA testing for hips, elbows, patellas, and eyes. This ensures that each puppy starts life with the strongest foundation possible—because we aren’t just breeding for looks. We’re breeding for longevity, for sound minds, and for real companionship.
We get asked all the time: "What makes Rolling Hills Corgis different?" The answer is simple. We don't see this as a business. We see it as a calling. We aren’t just breeders—we are guardians of a legacy, caretakers of joy, and stewards of a breed that brings so much love into the world. Every puppy is a reflection of our values, our work, and our home. And we are fiercely protective of where they go. We don’t ship our puppies in cargo holds. We don’t release them without conversations. We want to know you, your lifestyle, your hopes, and your dreams. We want to help you find the right puppy, not just any puppy.
When you bring home a Rolling Hills Corgi, you are not starting your story alone. You become part of our family. We offer ongoing support, guidance, and love for the life of your dog. Whether it’s help with crate training, questions about food, or just a photo update of your pup in a Halloween costume, we are always here. We love nothing more than seeing our puppies grow into happy, cherished companions.
Some of our families are young couples, just starting out. Others are retirees looking for a loyal sidekick. Some have children, some have cats, and some live in cities. Corgis are incredibly adaptable, but they do best when raised with structure, affection, and patience. We do our best to prepare every family by being honest—about the breed, about the challenges, and about the commitment. These dogs aren’t just cute. They’re intelligent, sassy, sometimes stubborn, and always hilarious. They need stimulation, interaction, and exercise. But what they give in return? Loyalty, laughter, cuddles, and the kind of bond that stays with you forever.
We have had puppies go on to become therapy dogs, emotional support animals, hiking partners, children’s protectors, and even the stars of Instagram pages. But to us, the most important thing they become is loved. That’s the goal. That’s the mission. That’s the promise.
Our days are full here. Feeding time starts early. Pups need baths, toenails clipped, playtime managed, personalities assessed. Every puppy is different, and we take pride in getting to know each one. We watch their little quirks form, we notice who likes belly rubs and who loves chasing toys, who is the leader and who is the gentle observer. This helps us match them with the right family. It helps us raise them not just as dogs, but as individuals.
And still, even after all these years, every go-home day is emotional. We prepare puppy bags with health records, toys, blankets that smell like home, and handwritten notes from us. We kneel down, look them in the eye, and tell them they’re going to be so loved. Then we cry, wipe our eyes, and do it all again. Because this isn’t just a job. It’s our heart. And we wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story. Thank you for caring enough to choose a breeder who does things the right way. And thank you for loving Corgis as much as we do. We hope that if and when you’re ready, you’ll reach out and let us be part of your story too. From our home on the hill to yours, we send love, tail wags, and the warmest welcome.
This is Rolling Hills Corgis.
